Limitless Kit and Mintridge Team Up to Support and Inspire the Limitless Ambassadors with Kate Haywood OLY, Holly Hunt and Fi Morris

The Mintridge Foundation had a brilliant day working with Limitless Kit to organise their Limitless Kit Ambassador Day at Oundle School Sports Centre on Sunday 10th December 2023.

Limitless Kit partner with The Mintridge Foundation as our charity kit partner and also help support the charity during our Ambassador training days and Mintridge Programmes throughout the year.

Throughout this year, just like previous years, Limitless Kit has supported their Limitless Ambassadors with visits and webinars from our Mintridge Ambassadors and also enabled them to apply to be mentored by one of our Olympians, Paralympians or professional athletes. This support from Limitless Kit helps their Ambassadors as they strive towards their own success and gives them the boost they need to overcome any hurdles they might face.

This year we celebrated the Limitless Kit Ambassadors during this special Limitless Ambassador Day at Oundle School Sports Centre, where the Mintridge and Limitless team brought together the Limitless Ambassadors for a day of fun, activity and inspirational presentations with Kate Haywood OLY, Holly Hunt and Fi Morris.

As part of this inspirational day, Kate Haywood OLY, Holly Hunt and Fi Morris shared their sporting journeys with the Limitless Ambassadors and gave them all some top tips and words of advice to support them on their journeys to success. It was an incredible opportunity for the Limitless Ambassadors in the room to also ask any questions they had for our role models who have competed at the highest level.

Did you ever get nervous before a race or competition?
— Limitless Ambassador Question for Kate Haywood OLY
Did you ever feel like giving up and how did you overcome that feeling?
— Limitless Ambassador Question for Fi Morris
How have you stayed motivated during your injuries?
— Limitless Ambassador Question for Holly Hunt

The Limitless Kit Ambassadors also asked some brilliant questions during the day, including:

“What habits and daily behaviours do you have?” - For Kate, Holly and Fi

“How do you manage your time effectively now and how did you do this when you were at school and playing your sport?” - For Kate, Holly and Fi

Not only did the Ambassadors hear from our inspirational role models, but they also got to take part in a Hockey and Cricket masterclass with GB Hockey player, Holly Hunt and Lancashire and The Hundred cricketer, Fi Morris,

With backgrounds in a variety of sports, including kickboxing, tennis, tetrathlon, fencing, horseriding and more, the Ambassadors were forced out of their comfort zones and challenged to use their transferable skills during our sessions. It was also brilliant to see everyone working together after meeting each other for the first time in person during our day.

We also loved catching up with our Limitless Kit Mentee during our programme day too. Georgia Lees delivered a really beneficial mentoring programme with this Limitless Kit mentee as she embarks on a successful sporting journey herself.

This year Mintridge have had the pleasure of supporting two Limitless mentoring programmes with Fi Morris and Georgia Lees. These two mentees have gained incredibly valuable knowledge about how they can manage their time, pressure and academics alongside their sporting journeys from our two Mintridge Ambassadors.

Thank you to our partners Limitless Kit for inviting The Mintridge Foundation to deliver this Limitless Kit Ambassador Day with you all and inviting Holly Hunt and Fi Morris to inspire the Ambassadors during this programme.

Thank you also to Oundle School and the staff at Oundle School Sports Centre for welcoming the Foundation and Limitless for this day, and we hope that the rest of the school year is a huge success for you all.

We can’t wait for another exciting year of Limitless programmes and to work with the new 2024 cohort when they are selected in the New Year by Limtiless.

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year everyone!

The Mintridge Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to enhancing life skills in young people through sport. We provide a support network for young people by harnessing the power of positive sporting role models. The Mintridge Foundation assists young people of all ages, abilities and physical capabilities to develop confidence and resilience, and creates awareness of the importance of mental and physical wellbeing through sport.

Our team of Ambassadors  - Olympians, Paralympians and other professional sports stars from over 20 sports, both team and individual - work with young people in schools, clubs and academies across the UK. Starting with visits including assemblies, coaching clinics and classroom sessions tailored to each organisation’s requirements, our ambassadors can then provide one- on- one remote mentoring in a safeguarded environment, delivered via technology such as Fitswarm and Playwaze to build a lasting legacy for individuals.

The Mintridge Foundation’s successes demonstrate the incredible power of sport; from a mentee’s selection to represent Great Britain in their chosen field to enabling disabled children to find confidence and happiness just through participation. Understanding life after sport, we also support our Ambassadors in their transition from active sport to the next stage of their careers.
