TCS London Marathon 2026 - The Mintridge Foundation
Would you like to take on the incredible challenge of the London Marathon on Sunday 27th April 2025 and raise valuable funds for the Mintridge Foundation at the same time? Arguably the best-loved marathon across the globe, the London Marathon helps many charities like ours year in and year out and we are DELIGHTED to have secured a place which could be yours!
If you are interested in joining our team, please complete the application form below before Friday 6th September 2024. All applications that are submitted will go through a review process and every applicant will be contacted by Friday 13th September. If we are able to offer you the place, there will be a registration fee of £75 and a fundraising ask of £2,500 to help support our vital programmes and you must be 18 or over on 27th April 2025.
We would love for the successful applicant to be proactive in their fundraising, training and participation in this iconic event and help to raise awareness of our work. Fundraising will be the responsibility of the runner but the Mintridge Foundation will support every step of the way before and beyond the 26.2 miles.

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025
The AEPG Great Eastern Run is a half marathon (13.1 mile) route that takes runners through the city of Peterborough passing through the beautiful grounds of the Peterborough Cathedral on roads and tarmac!
On Sunday 13th October 2024, Team Mintridge runners will help change young peoples lives through sport by taking on this huge challenge!
We would LOVE for you to join our team!
How much does it cost to enter?
We will take at £20 deposit which contributes towards covering the cost of the charity place (it doesn’t contribute to your fundraising total), your place will not be registered until the deposit is provided.
What is our fundraising target?
We ask Mintridge runners to raise a minimum sponsorship of £150. We love helping you on your fundraising journey!

The Try Line Trail: Ashton Gate to Twickenham
Friday 27th September 2024 marks ONE YEAR TO GO until the final of the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 at Twickenham Stadium and we here at the Mintridge Foundation want to celebrate this milestone!
We have teamed up with the EXTRAORDINARY England Rugby Player, Abbie Ward to celebrate!
So How are we celebrating?
By doing what we love doing most... GETTING ACTIVE! We want you to virtually travel the distance of Abbies home club of Ashton Gate Stadium (Home to the Bristol Bears) all the way to the Allianz Stadium at Twickenham thats 130 miles.
Dont worry, we dont expect you to do it all at once or on your own this is a team challenge.
In teams of 4, you have from 00:00 on Friday 27th September until 23:59 on Sunday 27th October to virtually run, walk, cycle, wheel, swim or scoot the 130 miles.
It will cost £10 to enter a team of 4 that can be a mixture of ages. One team member must be over 18.
Valuable funds could go towards our Mintridge vehicle to ensure that we can stay connected with our beneficiaries; arriving at programmes with a vehicle full of sports equipment ready to deliver activities in a fun and safe way!
Step 1: Register
Register your team to gain full access to the Try Line Trail.
Step 2: Create a Team
Schools, community groups, sports teams, families and friends will travel in teams on your own Try Line Trail Travel. Give your team a name and tell us all about them!
Step 3: Log Your Activities
Get active and log your active miles. Track your miles via Strava (or manually) and log your activity on your personal challenge page! ENSURE THAT YOUR STRAVA PRIVACY IS SET TO "EVERYONE".
Tag your chosen squad on social media and let's do this! If you need any help with checking that your Strava is connected, please click here.
If you would like to add your distance manually, you will have a button on your page that says "ADD AN ACTIVITY".
Is There A Competitive Element?
Abbie is ready and raring to giveaway lots of her England training and playing kit to you all! Prizes will presented to the first team to complete the challenge. Equally, Abi will be selecting MVP Prizes for teams / individuals that stands out during the challenge and are helping to raise awareness of our vital work please share the challenge on your social media channels by tagging @abbieward93 / @mintridgefdn and using the hashtag #TheTryLineTrail.

Join the Mintridge Foundation for the Amazing Northampton Run on Sunday 15th September 2024!
A loop around England’s largest town, starting at the historic Market Square, following the river past Northampton’s three main sporting grounds; Sixfields stadium (football), Franklin’s Gardens (rugby) and The County Ground (cricket), through two beautiful parks, passing through the modern University campus and returning to the Market Square.
You can enter as an individual: Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
You can enter as a 3 person relay: Half Marathon Relay (3 person team running 4.3/4.1/4.7 miles respectively).
The age limit for the half marathon is 17 on the day of the race in accordance with the UKA Licence Standards.

The AJ Bell Great North Run is the world’s biggest and best half marathon, with 60,000 runners taking on the route from Newcastle to South Shields each year.
It's returning on Sunday 8th September 2024 and we would love for you to be part of it!
It’s famous for its inclusive atmosphere, unbeatable on-route entertainment, and warm Geordie welcome, not to mention the millions raised each year for worthy causes. From the rush of the Red Arrows flying overhead to the oggy-oggy-oggy chants, Great North Run magic can be hard to understand – until you’ve experienced it for yourself.
An exciting team based event in a fantastic multi sport venue.
The Bedford Team Triathlon Relays sponsored by the global triathlon brand Zone3 are back for the 11th year, providing a fun way to compete and enjoy triathlon for experienced triathletes and beginners alike – open to individual teams as well as clubs!
The 3 person team format will be used with 3 x Swim, 3 x Bike and 3 x Run with both the Swim and the run in Box End making for great racing. The bike course is out on the local roads, easy to follow with a mixture of country lanes and some fast sections.
Full course: Swim 750m: Bike 23k : Run 5k
Triathlon Relay Format: A team consists of 3 athletes, who each complete the swim, the bike, and the run in relay; all three members of the team must complete each discipline in turn before the team moves on to the next discipline. All changeovers between team members take place in transition, In other words, 3 connected relay races using all three Triathlon disciplines.
The event represents great value for a sprint distance triathlon and much more fun too! They are limited to 144 teams so its never too early to reserve your team places.

The iconic Ford RideLondon-Essex 100 will return on Sunday 26th May 2024. The centrepiece of the world’s greatest festival of cycling, the 100-mile challenge is one of the UK’s most famous challenge rides and gives riders a unique opportunity to cycle on traffic-free roads through some of the most famous streets of London and the picturesque villages and countryside of neighbouring Essex.

This is a new position in the calendar for their landmark 10K event, which has traditionally been held in May. But with the packed ceremonial calendar this May and June, including the coronation of King Charles III and Trooping of the Colour, they have moved to Sunday 24 September and are looking forward to another great event.
Join us in Northampton for the inaugural Amazing Northampton Run as we take you on a grand tour of everything great in Northampton! Be one of thousands to experience the brand new 13.1 mile closed-road half marathon route through beautiful parks, along the riverside, past great sporting venues and amazing architecture. 2023 Swim Serpentine will be held on Saturday 16 September in the beautiful setting of London's Hyde Park.
Organised by London Marathon Events, the festival is held in and around the beautiful Serpentine in Hyde Park, the venue for the open water swimming competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Thousands of swimmers will participate in events.
For those who would like to test themselves with two full (1.6km) laps of the Serpentine. Aimed at more experienced swimmers who have already completed a mile open water swim previously. A challenging two-lap swim set in a beautiful location.
This is the perfect challenge for swimmers who want to take on a two-lap swim set in a beautiful location.
Join Barefoot Yoga in the beautiful surroundings of Longbrook Farm just outside Oundle for Sunset Yoga on the evening of Sunday 15th September.
Charlotte’s style of teaching has been influenced by some wonderful teachers past and present and the class will be suitable for all levels. The sun will set in the latter stages of the Practice. Following the class, there will be tea and cake afterwards for those who have time and wish to join us.
Charlotte is kindly giving her time and expertise at no cost meaning that all funds raised will go to the Mintridge Foundation to help more young people have a positive relationship with sport.

We hope that you have heard the exciting news that one of Britain's leading broadcasters Clare Balding CBE & her wife, actress and radio newsreader, Alice Arnold became the Patrons of the Mintridge Foundation in December 2022 to help bridge the gap between sports stars and youth, and in turn, help more young people to have a positive relationship with sport. We are thrilled!
They are spending time with the Mintridge Foundation Ambassadors from across the UK to help shape their stories and deliver the greatest impact possible and together, they will help grow the charity and take it to new heights.

RIDE LONDON IS BACK ON SUNDAY 28TH MAY 2023!
The world’s greatest festival of cycling will partner with Essex County Council for a second year.
RideLondon, the world’s greatest festival of cycling, will return in 2023. It will be the 10th anniversary of the hugely popular event, which was established by the Mayor of London in 2013 as an Olympic legacy event from the 2012 London Games.
A new one-year agreement with Essex County Council brings RideLondon back to the county on Sunday 28 May following the successful first year of the partnership in 2022.

Children with Cancer UK Swim Serpentine is a one-day open water swimming festival staged in the heart of London.
Organised by London Marathon Events, the festival is held in and around the beautiful Serpentine in Hyde Park, the venue for the open water swimming competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The 40th Great North Run takes place on Sunday 12th September 2021, but it all began back in 1981. And since then over 1.2 million people have taken part, making it the world's biggest and best half marathon!
Raising money for charity is a big part of the Great North Run experience for many runners and we would love for you to join Team Mintridge.
