From The Court to the Classroom: Jordan Jarrett - Bryan Brings Wheelchair Basketball to Cranford Primary School

Yippee – the Mintridge team made our return to Cranford Primary School for the third time this academic year on Tuesday 20th May – this time with our Wheelchair Basketball ambassador Jordan Jarrett-Bryan.

The day started with an assembly where Jordan told the children about his journey from having his leg amputated at 18 months old to becoming a professional Wheelchair basketball player before pursuing his career as a sports reporter where he has met and interviewed many huge and exciting names in sport.

Jordan then led 4 coaching sessions throughout the day and it was wonderful to see all the children getting actively involved when in the wheelchairs.  Each session concluded with Mintridge team photos and presentation of certificates and medals. What a day!

A Q&A threw up some very interesting questions and comments from the children!

Have you been to Cornwall?
Do you get phantom pains?
Everyone is equal!

Thank you once again to Cranford Primary School for having us back and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
